My first reaction is not good, or at least restrict it to LF use.
Early switch mode power amps weren't great.
Amps aren't hard to get....what's your budget?
There is a DPC 750 coming up for auction here locally. It's a switching power supply design.
Here's the link to Peavey's online manual:

If I could get it cheap, would it perform well in a home stereo application?

It's gotta be better than the "DECA" time bombs they made/sold, no?
I would think this newer generation must be an improvement. But, having had some in depth DECA experience back in the day, i don't think i'd own a Peavey amp with the word "digital" printed on it at any price.
To kinda parrot OG, i don't think the market has ever offered better deals on used power than what you can find now, i'd keep shopping.![]()
Not all vegetables make good leaders.
Okay guys, Thanks. I wanted to be armed with some info just in case it looks like it's going to go dirt cheap.

It went for $50....... that was more than I wanted to pay even if I had remembered to bid.

50 bucks doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room...but there is stuff out there...
In the $100-150 are there are literally zillions of options.
Fer instance, if I ever get around to looking at it, a 300 RMS/ch QSC sitting on the shelf here...not a for sale offer, just an example of the kind of thing that's around...
I posted a link to a craigslist ad, fellow had some little 35 watt ch crowns and a Mac...he still has the little crowns and I'm sure would be flexible.
If I see anything absolutely wonderful I'll post you a heads up. Good deals go quick.
